Turn this heart of stone to a heart of flesh!

First, a flashback to last Friday:
It was an absolute privilege for me to share devotion at the homeless shelter. I went through Psalm 139 but focused on because even darkness is light to God, being honest with him about the darkness in us, confessing to Him the things in our lives, the bad patterns we withhold from other because of guilt or shame. Believing He can cleanse us as we enter an honest relationship with Him.

Tuesday:

As we geared up for our final week, we were blessed Tuesday with a devotion from Don, a member of Living Hope. It was about keeping the unity of the spirit. He put great emphasis on being intentional with one another and the importance that they have a relationship in the Lord. It’s wonderful to provide healthcare, to aid the homeless, have a job creation program, but all of these just bandage the wound of injustice if there is not an eternal hope. Our strength to serve and our efforts must be carried by the Caregiver, the Freedom Offerer. Offering the good news of Jesus and the freedom He can give us on earth as well as in eternity, now that’s what impacts the heart! I am so encouraged that the Living Hope staff sees their need to spend every morning together sharing worship, a devotion and prayer.

Post-devotion, I had the opportunity to go to Masi with Lindsay and take inventory there. Our team split off in pairs to go to different townships, including Red Hill, Capricorn, Ocean View, and Muizenberg. As we accounted for all the items in Living Hope’s possession it allowed our team to explore places we had not spent much time in.

For the afternoon our team was in charge of all the activities at Kid’s Club. Ruthie and I got to lead worship, singing songs that the kids new really well from last year, and I think it sparked some fire in the kids and LSE’s remembering the great worship songs. We acted out a skit from Matthew 13:1-16 where Jesus washes the disciples’ feet, explaining how this reveals Jesus’s servant attitude, with the feet being the dirtiest part of the body. Relating back to sin, Jesus died so that we could permanently be washed. The dirty towel from Jesus washing our feet we showed the kids is replaced with a clean table when God looks at us because of Jesus taking the dirt and grime form our lives, sin, upon himself. What a cool visual! The older youth went into a separate room where Lindsay got to share and reach out to the girls about forgiveness and God being the true love of our lives. We surprised them with T-shirts they got to design saying “I found true love”.

Mark Woodrum gave us the verse for the day: Galatians 5:13 “For you brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve on another.” The bible also reminds us in Corinthians “Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial; everything is permissible I will not be mastered by anything.” Something to chew on.

Wednesday:

Mike Tally, who directs much of our construction for our mornings, shared the devotion on Wednesday. He opened our eyes to seeing the full picture of the gospel. He suggested two equally important aspects: bring God’s kingdom here on earth as we serve other, and surrendering our life to God, grateful for a future eternity with Him. Luke 4:18-19 reveals His desires for us here on this earth.

Our job at Living Hope was typing up in excel all the inventory we had taken on Monday and Tuesday. With a quicker morning we had more time to prep for leading Kids Club at Overcome. Lindsay and Brianna both had the opportunity to share God’s true love for us and that He is the only true fulfiller for us. Others can bring us joy but that He is the Lover of our souls, the only real satisfier. We acted out Peter denying Jesus three times and shared the importance of laying our lives down for our friends. That by Jesus laying down his life after being rejected shows his sacrificial love and an example of how we are to care for one another.

Our team spent precious time in prayer for Capricorn (today was our last day in that township) and all aspects of Living Way. We all prayed aloud at the same time which filled the room with many pleads to God, believing in his power and his willingness to answers the prayers in our heart. Mark 11:23-24 states “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you’ve received it, and it will be yours.” Oh if only we put that much faith into all of our prayers! He is able!

This journey has been challenging and eye-opening, may God continue to lead us in the path He has lit.

Thank you so much for all your prayers, we have felt them move during our stay here, and we are so grateful for all the encouragement

In Him,

Jess

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength

Hi everyone! Man it's so cold here today, it's like in the upper 60s. Sorry I had to say it =) We had an amazing weekend. Friday we helped at Living Grace, the homeless center. We sang some worship songs and, of course, Jabulani. Jess and Ruthie did the devotions before breakfast and lunch and they did an awesome job. We got to hear different people's stories and testimonies and prayed with them. Saturday we attended the first soccer game held in the new world cup stadium, the energy was contagious. Sunday we went to Capricorn Church and got to see a lot of the kids from kid's club and their families. The message was about not just worshipping God on Sunday morning but constantly, all through the week. I loved the spirit in Capricorn. Everyone is so welcoming and so on fire for God. They have this amazing spirit. After church we spent some time at Living Care, the health care center. I led the devotion and I spoke about the relationship between patience and trusting God. Isaiah 40: 25-31 is just one of the many great examples in the Bible of reasons why and how you can trust God. I know that I'm often pretty impatient and just want to solve the problem and check it off of my list. However, this always isn't consistent with God's plan and He doesn't answer every prayer immediately. We have to look at the ways we can trust Him, and from there we can gain the patience we need while awaiting a decision or going through a hard time.

This week we are leading kid's club both in Overcome Heights and in Capricorn. Today in Overcome we did a skit which told the story of when Jesus washed the disciples feet and how it represents Him washing our sins away. The kids then traced their feet and decorated them on paper that said "Jesus made me clean". They seemed to really enjoy it. A lot of the kids are really opening up to us and sharing their stories. We have really been blessed by getting to know these amazing kids with incredible spirits.

It's really hard to believe that this is our last week in South Africa. God has really blessed us by allowing us this opportunity to serve Him and it has really changed our hearts and opened our eyes. Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers. We love you! =)

"I have nothing more than all you offer me..."

Hello all!

These past couple of days our team has been learning a lot!! We went to King of Kings Baptist Church on Sunday and got to hear Pastor John Thomas (one of the founders of Living Hope) speak on fasting and seeking to understand God's plans. It was something great we all felt we could take away when we come back home and can start to evaluate the ways the Lord would have us act in response to the month we've had here! After a relaxing afternoon we explored more of the beauty of South Africa at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens at the base of Table Mountain and then got to go to the evening service at the Hillsong Church here in Cape Town.

As we've continued our construction work and serving at Kids' Club this week, something we've all seen God keep showing us through the people we interact with here is how, despite the poverty and broken situations, His love and His mercy shines through all the more. The children we spend time with at Capricorn and Overcome Heights are such a beautiful image of what it means to rely fully on Christ's strength. When the world tells them they are weak or are despised or mean nothing - they know that the cross of Christ is what gives them worth. An eight year-old was telling me today how she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up because she knows how much she can help others through it, while an older girl said she wanted to be a doctor. They have allowed the hope that comes from Christ to enter their hearts and their homes. Under Stacy, one of the LSE's, the young teen girls at Capricorn are continuing to meet together during Kids' Club to encourage one another as they encounter the struggles that will come when they strive against what the rest of society has told them they can be.

Last night our team discussed 2nd Corinthians 8 and reflected on what it means for us to give not out of abundance but out of poverty. It is easy for us to give when our pockets are full, but to think of another's needs before our own is completely opposite from what society teaches us. And yet, in the love and the joyfulness the children at Kids' Club show us every day, our team has seen what it looks like when you give beyond your ability. Rather than being controlled by our own motives and interests, realizing that the time and resources we have are not our own is very freeing. We are not anxious about where our money is going or if we have enough to get us where we want to go. Suddenly we see that having life abundantly only happens when we realize He has already given us all we need and now all we can do is be motivated by His love to give what we have to others.

One of our team's verses this week comes from 1st Corinthians 13:3 -
"If I give all I possess to the poor, and surrender my body to the flames, but have not LOVE, I gain nothing."

We thank you for all your prayers and support, and hope that this encourages you also to see what life can come from giving out of love! God Bless!!

The Miracle of Luke!

Hey there!!!

Just wanted to share with you an amazing story of God's power, mercy, and faithfulness and I pray that it will increase your faith in our great God!

Pastor John Thomas, the founder of Living Hope shared this with us over dinner and we want to share it with you!
One Tuesday afternoon four years ago, the police showed up at the door of King of Kings Baptist Church where John is the pastor. They knocked on the door holding a crying baby and said that they had just found the the infant in Masi, one of the townships in the area, and that they were on the way to taking the baby to the hospital. But, the police said that the felt that they had to come to the church because they just KNEW the church would be willing to take in the child. John asked where the child's parents were and the police proceeded to explain how they had found the child. They said that there were some young boys playing soccer in the dust road in Masi when one of the boys kicked the ball off the road and into the bushes. When he went to fetch the ball he heard whimpering and crying in the bushes in a field. He found a closed black bag and when he opened it, he saw a crying new born. The baby was still covered in blood and the umbilical cord was still attached to his naval. The boys ran and got the police. The police took the baby to the church. After hearing how this baby was neglected and left to die John's heart broke for this child and he shared the story with members of the church. A family from the church decided to adopt him that day and have him be a part of the family! The child was taken to the hospital and cared for and the doctors determined that the infant had been in the bag for over 24 hours!!!!! The only reason he survived was because he was still attached to the placenta! This all occured on a Tuesday. On Sunday, John brought the family who has adopted baby Luke before the congregation and shared Luke's story with them and prayed over the family. At the end of the service, a member of the church came to John and said, "You will not believe it. Please read Ezekiel 16:4-6!"

This is what it says, "On the day you were born your cord was not cut, not were you washed with water to make you clean, nor were you rubbed with salt or wrapped in cloths. No one looked on you with pity or had compassion enough to do any of these things for you. Rather, you were thrown out into the open field, for on the day you were born you were despised. Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay ther in your blood I said to you , "LIVE!"

Wow! This was Luke's story- this scripture speaks to Luke's life. The scripture perfectly describes his situation and in the midst of the horror it says, LIVE! That is what God has declared for Luke who is now 4 years old, healthy and very active! What a God we serve! It is as if this scripture, written thousands of years ago, was fortelling Luke's story! To God be the glory! Praise God that those boys kicked the soccer ball too far. Praise God that the police felt that they could come to the church. Praise God that a family adopted Luke with no hesitation. Praise God for his protection and redeeming love!

I was in awe of God's mercy as John wept retelling this story! King of Kings Baptist Church now has a 24 hour baby safe drop off center to seek to spare other innocent lives like Luke. I ask that you would pray that mothers would be willing to take their babies to the church!

Might you be encouraged that He is Mighty to SAVE!

The POWER of God In Us!!!

Why hello there friends and family!!

Thank you once again for your continued prayers for our team as we continue our service in the beautiful country of South Africa.

The latest memory verse for our group was Colossians 1:29 which says

"To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me."

This verse was very appropriate becasue we realize how God continues to give us the energy to work with the people at Living Way, the Life Skill Educators, and the Children at Overcome Heights and Capricorn. We realize that we do not have to rely solely on our efforts to show the kids the path to God's Kingdom, but rather how God works through us powerfully and gives us all the strength we need. We have bonded so much as a team because God has given us an opportunity to have us serve all the children in the kids club, the LSE's, the people at Living Way, and one another. We challenge you all to be united with us as well by memorizing Colossians 1:29 and to remember that even in times when you may feel weak, know that God will provide the strength for you.

Well here's the latest breaking news. On Wednesday we continued our work with Living Way where the girls continued the process of weeding and gardening. They have done a fantastic job in changing how the opening area of the Living Way campus looks. Myself and Mark have been creating a compost pile, moving and building furniture, and moving soil so that they can plant a new layer of grass on the campus.

Molly gave us a great analogy in terms of how the process of weeding can relate to our lives. She noted how our sin is like the weeds in the ground and that if we do not pull up fix the "root" issue, change will not be able to be made for the better. If you just clip off the top layer of the sin, then the root problem will still be embeded in you and eventually the sin will come back and hit you harder. We were all challenged and I hope you all are too to remember not to just clip off the top layer of your "sin", but rather completely dig out the root issue and therefore get rid of that sin entirely.

Also on Wednesday we returned from an afternoon running around with some crazy kids at Overcome Heights. They set up a basketball hoop and I had the opportunity to teach some of the kids how to shoot a basketball. One of the kids, Rosario, caught on real quick and began draining some deep shots! The kids are so much fun and we love going to Overcome and Capricorn. It truly is one of if not the brightest spot in my trip so far.

We added a few new members to the house that we are staying in too! Two members from last year's UD team, Amy Whitlock and Ronnie Fricke have returned to serve on a long-term basis for 6 and a 1/2 months! Also we have new friends, Nicole and Chris, from two different countries, Canada and England respectively. Over the next few weeks the team looks forward to continue the fellowship we have had with Ronnie and Amy at UD, and to start new friendships with Nicole and Chris. It's a very exciting time to be at the team house as much is changing for the better!

On Thursday we continued with the weeding and soil moving at Living Way and once again had a blast at Kids Club in Capricorn. One of the little boys, Reese, has decided to use my body as a tree for most of the Kids Club! He and about four to five other kids consistently decided that I would be a good target to cling too. It's been so much fun learning the kids stories as when they cling onto you, you have some time to talk with them. We also started with the Bible lessons for the kids and the team performed as skit of the story of Jesus coming into town on Palm Sunday. We also gave the kids a memory verse: Psalm 145:3

It says " Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise. His greatness no one can fathom"

The kids caught on quick as we even gave them hand motions to follow. The team can teach you the hand motions as well if you would like too!

We also stopped by African Hope Crafts which is located right near the Living Way facilities. There they employ women from a local village have handmade jewelry at very low prices. They started out in connection with Living Hope, but have been so successful that they were able to get a seperate store they can run themselves. It was great becasue not only was the jewelry very cool, but we had the opportunity to talk with the employees as well.

Also, Thursday night we had the priviledge of dining with the founders of Living Hope, John and Avril Thomas. They told us about how they got started with the ministry, where they want it to go, and many other stories of hope that the team definitely was encouraged by. We also were challenged with some startling statistics about the community and how people cannot just run away from the problems exposed in South Africa. It was a wonderful night and we truly enjoyed their company and learned so much from them.

On Friday, we were at Living Way working the whole day, as there was no kids club on friday. This was also the day that the memory verse of Colossians 1:29 was worked on. It was very appropriate for that day since we were working for about six to seven hours. Luckily, God kept the weather on the cooler side so we could not only be happy in the way God was using us at that time, but we didn't mind that the sun was not shooting a intense beam of light upon us!

Friday night we had a blast as we went to the youth group at Capricorn. The youth group consists of kids from about the age of 12-16 and they threw a disco that night. Now the group was a tad confused but luckily no one dressed up in 70's gear as a disco to them was just a regular dance! It was such a fun night, and we got to really meet some of the older kids in the community. After such a long day the team was exhausted and got some much needed rest.

Finally, today we're planning on taking a trip to Cape Point and Boulders Beach on the southern part of South Africa. There we'll be able to see some amazing scenery and more importantly penguins!! We're very excited to go and are sure to bring back some great pictures!

Well if you've made it this far, we've reached the end of the blog for now. But we'll be updating the blog over the next few days. Ta Ta for now!

In Him,
Rob

PS: Hi family!! Don't let Buster play too hard with Mike's new puppy!

What a BIG God we serve!!!

Hello Friends and Family,
Thank you SO much for all of your prayers, they really make a difference! On Sunday night we sang worship songs on the roof and read John 13:1-20 where Jesus washes the disciples' feet. Afterwards we went downstairs and washed each other's feet and while we did this we also prayed for one another. It was such a cool experience because it humbles you to wash another person's dirty feet and for the person who is having their feet washed they have to be willing to be open to allow it to happen. Afterwards we had a wonderful to have a time of both silent and group prayer.

On Monday we began our first day of construction and working (playing) at the kids clubs. Our memory verse for Mon & Tues is 1Corinthians 15:58 "Therefore my beloved brothers be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." In the mornings from 8:00am-12:30pm we go to Living Way (the job creation centre). On the first day the boys cut wood & flipped compost & today they moved furniture across campus. The past two days the girls have been busy pulling out weeds from the gardens and dandilions from the grassy area. While working we play word games, talk, pray & sing songs & the time passes by quickly. This morning's gardening was actually pretty enjoyable because in the morning we were able to hear the "Youth On A Mission" group (who is staying at the Living Way campus for three months) sing praise & worship. Then while weeding I got the chance to talk with & get to know some of the girls on our team a little better :)

Kids Club is AWESOME!!! Monday we went to Overcome Heights and when we got there we started singing circle songs, with 60 or so kids ranging from 2-16yrs old, lead by Shagmie (one of the Life Skill Educators) who was singing/screaming at the top of his lungs, we sang silly songs & songs about God & ones that taught about abstinence & played "Theres a fire on the mountain, Run Run Run, get in groups of (insert a #)" & the kids would run around in a circle and then would have 10 seconds to get in a group with that number of people. It was SO fun! The kids are really cute! I met Chloe who was around 4 years old and just wanted to be held and to be swung around. After playing games the kids lined up for sandwiches and juice, the girls went first and the boys second, the boys were so patient and well behaved, as they waited in a straight line for 10 - 20 min. The kids were filled with so much joy, which was so inspiring to see especially, considering many of the kids didn't have shoes and were walking in areas with broken glass, and that the sandwiches and juice we gave the kids were likely the only meal some of the kids would have for the day.

Today we went to Kids Club in Capricorn. Even though the age range was still around 2yrs old to 16yrs old proportionally there were more older kids (in the 10-15yr old age range there) & probably about 40-50 kids in total. Capricorn was where last year's UD IV team helped with Kids Club, it was cool to see the kids memory as they were asking about some of the members who aren't here this year. Goes to show the impact you can have on a child's life even in a period of a few weeks! Before club began Ruthie & Brianna taught a group of girls some ballet & the girls from Capricorn showed us two praise dances and one hip hop dance, they all were very talented. Kids Club began with singing and dancing to "Tell the World," "You're the Answer," "My Redeemer Lives," & "Supernatural God." It was such a workout because in addition to singing at the top of my lungs dancing around I was also holding 5yr old Alicia, I felt like my arms were going to fall off at times, but it was so sweet when she would hug me while I was holding her. A few songs in & thankfully before my arms broke, Alicia was ready to get down, so I went over to Wendy & Felicia who are 10 and 12 yrs old & had fun singing and dancing with them. After worship I talked with Felicia & we joined some of the other girls singing & sang Mariah Carey's "Hero" (it brought me back to Mrs Travis' 6th grade english class where we would sing it on a regular basis) we sang a few more songs talked and played hand games such as Miss Mary Mack, Numbers, Down By The Banks.

I'm excited to get to know the girls more, watch the grounds at Living Way shape up, and to start serving at Living Grace & Living Care!

Please continue to pray for our safety and health, as well as pray for the team & I to be fully dependent on God and to meditate on His word daily & for us to love others as Christ first loved us. Thank you so much for all of your support.
I love you all very much!!!
-Jennifer

PS tomorrow's memory verse is Hebrews 12:1 Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. (extra credit) verse 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfector of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

How is your foundation?

Hello friends and family!!!!

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support! We have been so blessed and seen God work in countless ways!

Our team has really become unified the last few days! As a team, we are memorizing a new verse every two days and we have lots of time to practice these verses on our car rides! We invite you to join us in memorizing these verses as we have seen the importance of hiding God's word in our hearts. We challenge you to commit them to memory as well. So far we have memorized:

John 15:5 "I am the vine and you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in Him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing."
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

What challenging reminders these verses have been to us that we must rely on God's strength and rest in Him.

Saturday we hiked Table Mountain as a team. It was a 2.5 hour hike that was pretty much like climbing steep stairs in the 98 degree, hot African sun! Needless to say, it was very challenging but I was so encouraged to be doing it along with our team. As we hiked, we said verses to oneanother, sang songs, and prayed for divine intervention :) We got to meet lots of friendly people as we hiked and some people called us group of girls the "singing nuns". But, we made it to the top and what an amazing sight to see God's awesome majesty displayed through the towering mountains and breath taking oceans. God reveals himself through His creation! I was very grateful that we were able to hike together as we learned to rely on oneanother and encourage eachother which will be essential as we begin our time of ministry on Monday! After our long hike, we went to the waterfront and got to have ostrich, warthog, kudu, springbok, and crocodile for dinner! Crazy south african food!

I have been really blessed to be back, a second year and to be reunited with the ACTS staff and LSE'S. Gordon, our wonderful bus driver and spritual encourager wears his UD baseball hat that we gave him last year :) and everyone has loved getting to know him!

On Sunday, we went to Ocean View Baptist Church, a small church nestled in the middle of one of the townships. We were so blessed by the worship- what a testimony of God's power to see people whole heartedly worship and to know that our God is a God of the nations! Man can they sing! There was such a sense of community in the church as they prayed for one another and showed supernatural love for eachother and for us! In the midst of a broken, drug infested township that is ravaged by prostitution, that church stands as a "light on a hill that can not be hidden." Shagmie, one of the Life Skill Educators we work with in Capricorn where we run Kids club, ministers at Ocean View but this was his last Sunday there as he is becoming the youth pastor at Capricorn. He gave his last sermon at Ocean View. He challenged us by saying, "How is your foundation?" "What have you built your foundation upon?" Unless the Lord is the builder, the builder builds in vain. He said that whenever we build something it comes at a cost. It is the same way with our spiritual walk- there is a cost involved in building our foundation in Him but when the storms come, we will not be shaken! There are areas in our lives in which our foundation is broken or cracked. We must identify those areas, confess them, and reclaim them for Christ! Check out Matthew 16:18, 1 Timothy 18-19, 2 Timothy 2:9 So we challenge you to think about what you have built your foundation upon!

We begin construction at Living Way, the job creation center, from 8-2 tomorrow and then we head over to Capricorn for Kids club from 2:30-5! I really hope to see all the kids from last year and we are excited to get to know all the new faces as well! Please pray for us!

We love you all and we are praying for you as well!
Molly (love you so much family!!!!!!)

We do not have internet where we stay so we go to an internet cafe when we can, but we will not be able to write as much as we would have hoped! We appreciate you taking the time to read this and most importantly, for your faithful prayers!

We're Here!!

Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for your prayers regarding our travel as we arrived in Cape Town safe and sound on Wednesday afternoon! On Tuesday we were laid over in Germany for the day so we were able to go into Frankfurt and walk around. The team really enjoyed the time we were there as it had beautiful architecture and we were even able to go up into a high tower and have a view of the whole city. But we were all ready to go from the 20 degree weather to the 70 degree weather we are experiencing now!

It has been nice to have some down time as we've been experiencing the effects of jet lag. On Wednesday, we met some of the staff including Alicia who advises the team, Kendra, who is also working with us, Sondiso who is our cook (and a great one at that!), and Priscilla, who is taking care of cleaning and laundry. The rest of the day we took time to become oriented and move into the team house.

On Thursday, our team was able to tour the different branches of the ministry. To clarify, we are working with Living Hope, which is the umbrella organization for 5 different ministries. Living Care is the health care center that looks after HIV and AIDS patients within the community. Living Grace provides meals, devotions, and lockers to the homeless as they help them get back on their feet. Living Way is a job creation program that looks to provide life skills to the community which then allows them to better find a job. Living Right is the organization we will be volunteering with the most as it works with the children of many different townships in seeking to provide them with meaningful relationships, Biblical truths, and preventative teachings. Living Services is the HR and public relations branch that works behind the scenes to make the other programs possible.

One cool story I'd like to share is how much this organization is truly reaching their community. One building currently being used for Living Right was once a very prominent drug building within a neighborhood. The people of this community finally had enough of the dangerous activity and burned it down. Living Right was then able to purchase this building and the land it was on for what would be the equivalent of $15 US dollars. The building that once haunted this community and brought so much crime and violence is now one of its greatest sources of hope.

Today, we were going to begin construction with Living Way, but Molly had a surprise for us last night. Life Skill Educators are the people within Living Right who are making crucial relationships with these children who desperately need older mentors in their life. We will be working closely with the LSE's throughout this trip, and today we had the opportunity to get to know them more and bond with them...at an amusement park! While riding a roller coaster and getting soaked on water rides, we were able to exchange stories and really begin to connect with the people who have devoted their lives to this ministry. They are genuine, truly in love with the Lord and positively hilarious...aka they are incredible people!

Well, that's about all for now! I want to personally thank each and every one of you who are praying for us individually and as a team. I know that I have felt your prayers as we have begun to settle into the community. I humbly ask that you would continue to keep us in your prayers as we unite 12 people into one team with a sole purpose in mind (that of serving Jesus Christ!), for humility to allow God to work in ways that we cannot even imagine at this point, and for the strength and focus as we begin to serve alongside the community.

In Him,
Christina (and the team!)

Just Checking

Wanted to make sure that this works
